A few years ago I had bright idea that becoming a personal trainer would be a terrific path to make money. I decided that getting a personal trainer certification online would be the perfect way - simple, work on my own schedule, and so on and so forth. The only problem? Before I might acquire a personal trainer certification, I needed to get in shape myself! My sensible solution? A work-out DVD.
I purchased my first work-out disc 3 years ago, and haven't used it ever since. I don't recall what it was called - I've since then misplaced it somewhere in the back recesses of my house, and have not seen it in several weeks, but I do remember some things about it. It was brilliant pink, and had some smiling man in spandex and big hair on the cover, telling you to lose weight. I thought that the cardiovascular DVD would motivate me to get my rear in shape, but it was not to be. As an alternative, my brand new cardio video just decided to sit in the corner, accumulating dust while I sat on the couch, becoming fatter and less totally fit.
My subsequent workout video was a step calisthenics video, nevertheless it fared no better. I think I did try that exact cardiovascular DVD a couple of times, but it was no use. I merely felt so absurd sitting there at home, undulating along with class on tape who were not even in the room with me, pretending that I was doing something that was not wholly preposterous. I just couldn't make it a part of my habit. I had at first planned to commence each and every day with the cardio video and a shower, but when I would rise out of bed in the morning, it was the final thing that I wanted to do.
I've had 3 of four cardio videos since then and, to be straightforward with you, none of them have done the trick at all. It basically isn't that enjoyable to do calisthenics alone in the family room, watching your aerobic video on the tv. Nothing actually occurred to get me in shape from watching the cardiovascular video. Ultimately, I had to do what I had been dreading all along; I had to enroll in fitness center. Once I began to get my work out from exercises lessons and not an aerobic video, it suddenly became so much easier to stay with the program. The classes got me out of my house, and the people in them were so motivating, that I just could not help myself. Practically instantaneously, I was hooked on taking exercise classes to get totally fit. It was like you couldn't get me away from them. Meanwhile, each and every cardio video I have ever had quietly gathers dust in the house of a newer, fitter me.
