The official reading age is age 3-7 (As suggested by Barefoot Books as a company). I disagree with that a lot. My daughter was given this great book while she was scarcely two. By the moment in time she had mastered it, which doesn't take much time, she had me, my mother and my grandmother every one dancing all along. Therefore I say no age constraint at all. Unless it is 2 to 75!

It should have a safety alert too for being so easy to learn by heart. On one occasion I found myself in my local Tesco's humming the tune the whole way around whilst I did my food shopping. I am sure everyone thought I was absolutely cockamamie.

This is such a tremendous join in book for events, nursery groups and childminders because it is very easy to perform.

If you do put together or help within a group or are planning a gathering then The Animal Boogie is just right. Not only is it particularly inclusive, but for a few potential musicians, there is also a musical score inside the back. Maybe even get everyone making musical instruments similar to bead shakers.

Bear in mind it is entirely about taking part and having enjoyment. I guarantee you will have a smile on your features as well as be laughing like a drain when you have done.
