My sister and I planned a baby shower party for 1 of our nieces. We made the decision to have it in the fellowship area of the neighborhood church due to the fact that it was a large guest list. The fellowship section has big round tables that seat ten people. We moved one table off by itself to be the presents table. We covered this table with a smooth pink tablecloth; our niece has found out she is having a girl. We set the cradle in the center of the table. We made the decision to use our presents for the baby shower decorations. I had purchased a pink and white infant blanket, which we hung over the side of the cradle. We pinned a number of rattles and other infant toys to the blanket with diaper pins. We then showed the little ensembles that my sister had bought. We finished the baby shower decorations for the presents table by putting a big stuffed bear into the cradle. It is so much fun to decorating for a baby shower!

For the food service table we had an array of fresh flowers from the community florist. She used silky pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the collection. We determined that no other baby shower festive decorations needed to be put on this table. We did have pink napkins that we put on this table, together with a cake that was decorated with a stork holding a little doll in a pink frosting blanket.

We had also gotten a corsage for our niece and 1 for every of the new grandmothers to be. We felt that the room looked very good and we would not have to spend a whole lot of time cleaning up baby shower decorations due to the fact that they would all be sent home as presents to our niece.

We had a big turn out for the baby shower party. My niece received quite a few very nice presents. She was glad that we had the baby shower party in a space that was not small. As she progresses with the maternity she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the baby shower party was over the fellowship section was cleaned up and we were on our way home.
